Personal Support Services

Personal support services relate to outcomes identified in the person’s service plan when teaching and training is not necessary to attain these outcomes, meaning this a very basic service type in nature:

• Non-medical basic care such as verbal cues to brush teeth or assistance with tying a shoe
• Supervision and assistance provided in the home of the person or in the community to achieve increased independence, productivity and inclusion in the community
• Least costly assistance to reasonably meet the needs of the person
